Regent Voyager – My Impressions by Martyn Chapman

47,000 tons and 700 Guests Maximum

On seeing the ship as you approach on the Wharf side you can clearly see that all cabins have balconies. On boarding the ship you are greeted by a lobby area of polished wood and just looking around you are given the impression of understated elegance.

Our tour including a glimpse of the facilities this beautiful ship had to offer including your Lido area and Spa area, theater, bars, lounges with dance floors and a fantastic choice of restaurants for a small ship.

This ship offers a truly “all inclusive arrangement” don’t be put off by the price because when you take into consideration what is included you can compare with other cruise lines that do not include everything and this works out great value for money.

So what do you get for all inclusive?

  • All Meals are which ever restaurant you choose with no cover charges
  • All Premium Wines, Beers and Spirits (with a few Exceptions) included.
  • All Gratuities
  • All Shore Excursions and Port Transportation (with a few Exceptions on some premium excursions)
  • Your mini bar in cabin stocked daily with complimentary beer, soft drinks and bottled water.
  • If you are in a Penthouse Suite or above you also receive Butler Service.

The main restaurant onboard was well laid out and presented with all chairs at the table being armchairs in a golden/yellow fabric and were exceptionally comfortable for you to enjoy a leisurely meal. I like to term the food in this restaurant as “nouvelle cuisine” very nicely presented and not overwhelming in size of portion.

The Pool Grill restaurant on the pool deck is buffet style and is available for breakfast and lunch in a casual alfresco style.

The Prime 7 Steakhouse and Signatures are the ship’s specialty restaurants, Prime 7 being primarily a classic American steakhouse but serving poultry dishes as well.

Signatures serves, French Haute Cuisine inspired by Le Cordon Bleu.

The Cabins

The lead-in cabin on this all balcony ship is the Deluxe Cabin category F-H and a large 32m2 probably the most spacious lead-in cabin I have ever had the pleasure of going into, you can certainly do more that “swing a cat” in these cabins. They are beautifully laid out with King Size bed that will split into twin beds, sitting area, your Balcony and amazing stocked bathroom plus bathrobes, slippers, mini bar, flat screen TV, safe and closet.

Next we saw a Penthouse Suite, category C between 35m2 and 41m2 in size with everything that the deluxe cabin has and much more to include concierge amenities, IPAD, IPOD Docking station and daily canapés

All Round A Great Luxury Experience.
